TRÍO MALATS

Víctor Martínez, Alberto Gorrochategui and Carlos Galán are three brilliant musicians whose international careers were woven together to found the ¨Trio Malats¨, in honor of the work and life of Joaquin Malats, a wonderful Spanish musicien of the twentieth century.

 

Laureate in several chamber music and solo artists’ competitions, these marvelous musicians received their education both in their natal Spain as well as abroad, traveling to France to develop their heaven given talent. The Trio Malats' broad and varied repertoire includes the master pieces from the classicism to the most recent contemporary music. The Trio's programs reveal their true compromise with the Spanish composers of the XX and XXI centuries, premiering pieces that are commissioned for them both as an instrumental group, as well as individual soloists.
